Climate Hub

Summerhouse worked closely with The New York Times to bring Climate Hub to COP26, the UN Climate Change Conference UK 2021, held in Glasgow.

The world’s biggest climate conference sought to find vital solutions and agree on global action to combat climate change. The New York Times brought their own stream to this event with Climate Hub.

Over the nine days of the conference, world leaders, scientists, academics, inventors COP26 delegates, New York Times journalists and members of the public came together at Climate Hub, COP26,  to explore strategies addressing challenges in reducing carbon emissions, protecting and restoring ecosystems, building defences and warning systems, innovating in food and agriculture and more.

COP26 welcomed the presence of Little Amal, a 3.5m puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian girl who travelled from Syria to Glasgow. She opened the Gender Day in the Blue Zone, alongside Samoan climate activist Brianna Fruean to represent young women and girls from the global south, and headed to a public event in the Green Zone, before finishing her journey with us at The New York Times Climate Hub.
